Hobart Mixers

Hobart planetary mixer consists of a bowl which remains static, while an agitator moves around the bowl to mix its contents. A planetary mixer is very versatile with parts available to carry out a wide range of jobs. With the appropriate part they can mix, blend, whip or stir all types of mixtures. J Hooks (best used at slow to medium speed) combine ingredients together and knead dough. Wire whisks (best used at medium to high speeds) are used mainly for incorporating air into products. Beaters (best used at slow to medium speed) are used for mixing cakes, batters or icings.

The term planetary comes from the fact that the mixing parts fit on an offset shaft which rotates around the bowl. The mixing motion is like the planets rotating around the sun.

Tivoli supplies all kinds of industrial bakery equipment including Hobart mixer parts such as bowls, beaters, whisks and J Hooks for use on the Hobart planetary mixer range from 12 quart up to 140 Quart. Bowls are stainless steel. Attachment parts are solid cast aluminium.
